Herstory…

Throughout her early childhood, Jewels experienced severe physical & sexual violence, poverty, & unimaginable suffering. In & out of dozens of schools &even more living arrangements… mostly shelters, caravans, & government housing, there was no safety or stability, only an intense and relentless fear.

As a young teen, leaving her dangerous and abusive family environment, she endured more violence, homelessness, addiction & struggled with a lack of safety & boundaries.

By 24, she was already a mother to two beautiful angelic baby girls, navigating motherhood, in a world she felt she didn’t belong to with no understanding of the lasting impact of her past.

After surviving an almost fatal assault in her late 30’s, Jewels was diagnosed with multiple chronic conditions including Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, chronic pain syndrome, debilitating fibroids & menstruation, depression, anxiety, CPTSD. Her more recent diagnoses include Crohn’s disease, Fibromyalgia, and Complex Trauma, as a CSA and CDV survivor. She deeply understands what it feels like to be incredibly unwell and completely unheard and unsupported. Her first exploration of the roots of dis-ease was discovering that she had an ACE score of 10/10. This was the beginning of a long and rocky path to self-healing.

Jewels knows that so much of what physically manifests in the body is born of hurt, harm, fear, trapped emotions & a sense of aloneness and helplessness.

Through returning to simpler ways of being, natures medicines, spiritual practices, & deep inner world work, she found her way on the path to more optimal health & harmony. In the words of Gloria Steinem “the final stage of healing is using what happened to you to help others. That is healing in itself.”

Her very personalised approach blends western herbal medicine, Bach Flower Essences, evidence-informed nutrition & lifestyle support, to create a safe “inner-world” & an ability to adapt to the stressors of our external environment.
