Kitchen Alchemy for Autumn & Winter 2025

A return to slow remedies, warming of hands with pottery mugs, & deep ancestral remembering.

As the cold begins to tuck into the edges of the days, I find myself craving the older ways.

Slower. Steamier (in the kitchen & the bed haha!). More sacred.

My shamanic mentor told me, the first ever time we met, looking me deep in the soul, “you love everything about the old & the ancient, & are completely bored by the modern and new.” I thought ‘holy shit, thats so true!’ I crave the kind of medicine that doesn’t come in a brown bottle (potent for sure!), but a medicine that bubbles on the stove top. That steeps. That simmers. That sits in the shadows waiting patiently for a daily shake up, with love & care..

I wanted to share that longing with you… so I decided to make a guide. I had no idea what the hell I was doing, or what it was even go to actually be about! No plan, no structure… pretty much just the way I live life. Eh! I have a longing for grounding in a world that keeps speeding up. For real & raw deep nourishment. Not just the kind we eat, but the kind that says ‘you’re allowed to slow down, you’re allowed to rest.’

My short time as a practicing naturopath, has given me insight into how returning to kitchen-based herbalism, paired with the teachings of slowness, reconnects people with their own rhythms. With the land. With their breath. With their bodies. It’s not just about what a herb does, it’s who you become when you work with it.

Alas! I intuitively let the ten recipes come to me, to share as autumn/winter preparations - simple elixirs, tonics, syrups, teas & more. All designed to hold your nervous system gently, support your immunity, & invite you to slow down.

Some are simmered with root & spice. Others steep in honey & vinegar. All are meant to be felt, not just taken.

So, if you want to feel a little less like a machine, & a little more like a woman (or man but lets face it, no man is reading this haha), with a pulse & a past & a whole body worth tending… then I think this might be for you.

These are not fads. These are folk traditions older than those before us. Medicine made slowly, by hand, in rhythm with the Earth.

You can download the guide below at a small cost of $7, & begin your own kitchen alchemy.

This is the kind of medicine I love most… from the old and ancient worlds and healers. Nature medicine made by hand, guided by tradition, and stirred with intention. I hope this guide helps you feel just a little more rooted, more resourced, and more held as the days grow darker.

The plants are always there. I am here too, if you need.
